Yes I was able to keep working. Days 5-20 were kinda rough but the kratom took most of it away I still had pain and aches but I just stayed busy and kept pushing. I would Google other ppl stories and it would help alot. If what your taking is not working increase your dose until u feel ok. Remember kratom is 100% chemical free and all natural. If u feel bad dose until u don’t. Once u get thru the rough part start lowering your dose.. Take the leap it will be worth it I promise.. Start exercising even if u don’t have the energy just do it drink lots of water and vitamin. You got this I believe. If your on facebook go to the search bar and type in kratom motivation there are thousands of ppl on there with same stories it’s a awsome thing. . And if u or anyone wanna here more of my storie just ask me what u wanna know and I’ll tell u anything I can to help.. O ya go buy a big bottle of melotonin it will help sleep.. Hope this helps hope to here from you guys soon. Have a great day.

Reading all of the comments and stories on this forum has absolutely reinsured me there are still some really good people in this world. Discussing personal information without judgement. Strangers helping strangers. I never thought I would be able to get off
Prescription pain pills after I had broken my back.
In 05 it all started I was taking 4 oxy 10-325 a day. 10 years later 25 oxy 10-325 a day. It was Out of Control but I never missed work, always where I was supposed to be, never in trouble so I figured I didn’t have a problem.
WRONG, when my prescriptions and resources were gone , REALITY KICKED IN. THE DEPTHS OF HELL.
THIS is where KRATOM saved me, not knowing where to turn I found Kratom. I said ,there’s no way this is going to work, it’s a bunch of crap, people will sell anything, How is a plant going to do all of this and Nobody knows about it.
WELL LET ME TELL YOU FIRST HAND, Anyone who is struggling with opiates, withdrawal, pain, anxiety, energy.
KRATOM SAVED MY LIFE and my BANK ACCOUNT.
TAKE THE LEAP and I GAURNTEE YOU it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
THANK YOU ALL.

Kevnmore

I agree with everything you have said

Your story sounds a lot like mine

One of biggest concerns is staying functional

Could you share when you fort took the leap what that looked like

I purchased some Kratom have it sitting in front of me and about to try it today.

Everyone’s story of success is making the leap easier and easier.

First off, my apologies to Monster269 on 4/24 checking in on me, I just saw it.  I’m doing OK, but I must clarify that I am still on the Opiates.  When I initially wrote, I was two weeks without meds so I had to find a substitute…and found Kratom.  It worked, and got me through that period.

However, I AM getting ready to try and kick the Opiates with Kratom. But first, a summary of where I’ve been.  Been on Opiates for 10+ years, all arthritic and back related. Heavy opiate too, especially the 100mcg. patches of Fentanyl.  Happy to report that this month I asked my Dr. to switch me to 2 a day 100mg. Morphine-Sulfate time-released  I am SO happy for this little change, it seems to be working – yes I have more pain – but I am tolerant and determined, and happy that I am not a slave to those patches!  My current “regimen” is 120 ea. of Oxycodone 30mg. tablets for spike pain, and was 30 ea. 100 mcg of Fentanyl Patch every month!! That’s a lot of opiates…and tolerance buildup.  Thank God I now take 2 ea. of the 100mg. Morphine Sulfate instead (which is 60 ea. a month).

Once I get this new regimen leveled, then I probably make the leap to Kratom and go for it.  Another thing I have been doing is taking copious notes of EVERYONE’s contributions to this forum.  One of the “pay it forwards” I want to do is put together something like “How to kick Opiates with Kratom” type document, including what to do – what to expect – warnings of Kratom abuse, how to dose, I mean I’ve been all over the internet reading and sucking up as much as I can. Main reason is I want to be successful out-of-the-box when I make this leap, and the document as a by-product, well it’s the least I can do and offer when it works.  I have a brother who is kicking opiates, and he’s at the Methadone Clinic every morning at 7am. My Dr. recommended that to me as well, the Drs. just don’t know…and talk about a stigma! Imagine your neighbor cruising by the clinic with you standing out front for your “shot.’  Not that I would not do that if I had too, but with my two week Kratom trial run, I truly believe that this is better (natural) and WILL WORK!  How do i know?  By you wonderous people that share your experience strength and hope that it worked for you and in sharing your knowledge!  Thank each and everyone of your who shares!!

KEVNOMORE – yes, sharing information without judgement – couldn’t have said it better myself, thanks. My question to the forum today was going to be: “Has anyone who is sharing been on opiates a long time, 10 or more years?”  And, You, DGibbs and a couple others answered that question by your sharing here, so thanks to all of you.

Kevnomore – Hang in there! We can do this! I too, am functioning and show up to work everyday, I am productive. BUT, I am scared to death about being able to function with just Kratom, so you are not alone buddy. I believe though by sharing and helping each other, we’ll be successful.  I think it was DGibbs again that shared read on Google, facebook, etc…we are not alone, and I found reading that stuff when I get anxiety & despaired, it helps!

Sorry for the lengthy reply folks, but I’ve been away a bit, so lots to share, lol.  One PS ( post script) “Do you know how I found out about Kratom to begin with?!”  I was reading the Sunday paper about 1 1/2 months ago and there was a huge article on how younger people were turning to Kratom and killing themselves with it.  I dug deeper and know what I found?  It was because there were unscrupulous persons out there selling strains with e-coli bacteria in them so THAT was killing people.  (You’re safe if you stick to the internet dealers, etc..and I believe this problem has passed) – I don’t want to panic anyone but my point is you really have to what the bullshit media out there!  A LOT of bullshit is printed in the media! Stick to his forum and you’ll get the truth.  The paradox to how I found out about Kratom to begin with – is actually the thing that is going to save my life! How weird is that!  Have a great day everybody!

Yes I would very much so recommend the kratom you won’t have any withdrawals but I recommend the pill form because the powder is very nasty but it works and it’s all natural God bless you and good luck with your pain I was been paying since 1999 nothing touched my pain not even painkillers when I got Kratom and took it for the first time I was totally out of pain with no pain whatsoever but let me tell you if you run out of Kratom you will be miserable

Hi

I just got off Methadone 5 yrs I started Kratom 2 weeks before I completed stopped.

I didn’t even get a hint of sickness, I used the fast leaf first then I bought a slow leaf to sleep and relax. I buy my Kratom from Happy Hippo Herbals. This is the only site I know about someone recommended. There are others places online, I like them, you get a free sample with ever order., I wanted to know is there a withdrawal from Kratom? Would you know? The Kratom will take away all of the sicknesses. I’m also 58. Start with 3 grams you just need to find that spot what works for you. I dump and wash 5 grams in the morning. I’ll do maybe 1 or 2 grams later in the day if I feel shiting I’ll use more. You need to mix up different types of Kratom slow fast together. Go to Happy Hippo That site will help. Good Luck! I feel great its been 5 days with no Methadone.

Hey Frank. I’m on Methadone. I got on in June after a long heroin addiction. I maxed out at 70 mg and have been coming down 5 mg every two weeks. Monday I’ll be down to 35 — the halfway point.

How did your detox go? When did you start the Kratom and at what point did you jump off the methadone? Appreciate all the details you’re able to provide. Thanks!

Mieme: We are trying to help a friend who is taking 200 mg of Oxy a day and he is spending $200 on his addiction. As it always happens, his tolerance over the years, has brought him to the place he is considering stonger street drugs! I did as much research as I could and bought him Red Maeng Da (1gram per capsule) I would be grateful if someone would let me know the best dosage for withdrawal. Should he slowly substitute the Kratom for the Oxy? Thanks!
