I’ve had 4 back surgeries; 2 knee surgeries & have Carpal Tunnel in both hands. I was on pain meds for 12 years until I moved into a state where doctors wont give patients pain meds anymore. I now use Red Maeng Da powder. I mixed it with water till I read on the internet to mix it with orange juice. I tried apple juice today & it wasnt bad. Not only does it help with my pain & gives me energy but I’ve found the Red Maeng Da is an excellant appitite supressant. I’ve lost 18 pounds since I started taking kratom.

The reason you heard that OJ is the juice to use it’s bcz of the alkaloids in it that enhance the effects of the Kratom, I use freshly squeezed OJ… sweet and tasty:) Haven’t tried red Mang Dae that was good quality yet. The green one did not do much for me, I really love the Red Bali but I take that for pain since the hydrocodones don’t touch the pain from my back, neck, arms and 3 bilateral carpal tunnels surgeries … I tried White Thai great for energy but does nothing for pain… Still searching for the perfect combo since I am going back to work in the healthcare field in a few weeks and can’t take my painkillers…

on March 28, 2018

Hi Juliette, just curious. Have you found the combo to help you? I too have to be back in few weeks healthcare work, will not ingest anymore oxy. Looking for help….Thnx

on April 12, 2018

Hey Dobiesluvme… yes I have found my combo lol I use yellow Thai during the day and to help me with studying at night but when night comes I take Bali Red and Nirvana is upon me lol… I have realized that since I have been taking it daily that now I can go a few days without taking it… either one that is… must have built up in my system!!… I have also perfected the “on-the-go-sit-behind-the-wheel-chuck-and-swallow” and can take it at any red light without problems… The bitter taste does not bother me so I literally can have a mouth full of kratom and just swallow it… I usually wash it down with a 16oz water bottle with “Crush” single sugar- free on the go packets added for maximum sweetness…

hi. I have had SEVERAL surgeries for my neck and spine, and now have a new strange neuralgia in my head/scalp that NOTHING helps. I am sick of being on hydros. Can someone please tell me what a good kratom strain extract of this to start with would be? I dont really drink tea, so I think capsules would be best. Thanks!

on February 28, 2018

For incredible pain relief, I found that Red Bali and Red MD worked the best for me. Hydros have never made me feel this way I have been taking them for over 15 years and the pain was always there… The Red Bali I take at night before sleep and wake up so peaceful, rested and no brain fog… The Red MD took the pain away plus gave me a good amount of energy without anxiety but it was a little hard to study with that: no focus and a little “cleaning” obsession…

Most companies offer a small amount that you get to test drive the strain, You could find your compatible strain that way, or at least narrow it down. I get mine through Gaia dan is quite helpful and shipments are quick to arrive 🙂

Yes, going through same. The realybad part about opioid pain meds, is the longer you take them, it actually triggers MORE pain. I know it sounds stupid, and I was absolutely shocked to read this, but I’m living proof. Doc put me on opioids for severe knee pain 5 yrs ago, been on ever since (going to “street” now due to dr not prescribing anymore). Pain is still there, never really went away. So yes, opioid pain meds actually produce the opposite effect and make the body create pain. Crazy!

on April 12, 2018

Hello Chicagorgirl, from one Chicago girl to another… I was never put on opioids because they did not work for me from the get-go… so I was put on hydros 10/325 for the past 17 years…they never took the pain away never created anymore either they just did not work period! trying to explain this to a dr is like explaining the theory of relativity to Einstein!! dr’s are mostly dumb and if you don’t explain it to them on their own level they won’t listen to you at all… so I decided to save my saliva and go find what will actually render me pain-free and that’s how I found kratom… which actually works 100% for me… allowed me to go back into healthcare and am now helping people with chronic pain to move … crazy world … i  can’t even tell people about kratom bcz I am not a dr I have also found out that every dr I have mentioned Kratom to had the same reaction: what’s that???… The DEA is trying to eradicate kratom and our Dr’s don’t even know what it is…

Hydros are opioids. If you took hydros ( Norco, Vicodin) and 10’s, you were maxed out. I can’t imagine anyone in healthcare not knowing that after 17 years (more like 1 or 2) you’d need the dose increased. A pain management Dr would’ve raised you into Oxycodone or oxycontin it’s linger acting version. I’ve been trying to work through pain management Drs since 2004 and recently had to be weened off 100 mg of opana with OxyCodone for breakthrough. I was to high level for the drugs that get you off this stuff. So I know my opiates Good luck to you.

on November 6, 2018

I have been on the same medication, Oxymorphone 40 mg 3 times a day and 10 mg oxycodone 3 a day for breakthrough and the doctor Cut Me 2 3 5 mg methadone a day because my medication was discontinued so I’m needing help with the massive amount of withdrawal I am in and the pain also due to back problems, don’t understand why the doctor did this after 9 years of perfect urinalysis test and never missed an appointment have always been a good patient any help would be highly appreciated

on November 6, 2018

Did my reply go thru , having a very hard time switching from all that oxymorphone ER to just three methadone 5 mg and the doctor did not we met down after perfect 9 years of UA testing and being a good patient and using medication as prescribed any help would be highly appreciated

on November 6, 2018

I was on three Oxymorphone 40 mg ER and 10 Oxycodone 10 mg a day for 8 years and the switch 2 3 5 mg methadone feels like no relief and the withdrawal is horrible I didn’t know if anything would help the doctor was a switched doctor from my old doctor and when oxymorphone was discontinued that’s the switch that he made to me no weaning down at all so again any help at least for withdrawals and pain would be highly appreciated and directions my tolerance is very high of course

Kratom’s pain relieving effect, or its analgesic properties are probably its most know benefits and main reason why people are using it. there are variuos strains of Kratom Maeng Da, Green Malay, Red Bali, Red Sumatra, red Thai, Red Horn, white Borneo. Aside from being known as a safe herbal medicine for pain relief, Kratom is also popular for providing users with stimulation and increased energy.

on April 12, 2018

Hello Shrillah, I have those same issues and I found Balli Red for maximum pain relief I usually take this at night but I have also been able to take it during the day in smaller amounts and have been functioning just fine. I have found that Yellow Thai gives me the best energy and max pain relief without making me nervous or anxious or agitated… I did try Bali Gold but it made me anxious… Really like the yellow Thai for daytime. especially when doing my school work or cramming for tests! I get mine from Gaia ethnobotanicals… Dan is awesome and will answer all questions and will also suggest which strains might work best for you. That’s how I was able to narrow it down to Yellow Thai for energy.:) Just talk to him and ask all your questions… he is awesome!!!

on April 12, 2018

Does anyone know how to check purity or quality of kratom other than how it makes you feel?

on October 11, 2018

Hi, your feelings and experience are the very best info you can get. We’re all wired  differently, so what works for me may not work for you or not as well. As far as resources go, I read and now use Happy Hippo. Great quality and customer service and take credit cards. If you’re into bitcoin, they give 25% discount! Good luck and happy hunting.

Red Bali is best for pain, but only take it at night bc it will put you out. It’s good to sleep on. Other stands are better for the day.

I have found that the white and yellow vein strains are good for pain, energy, and mood. I like white thai, white meang da, and malay white. All of the yellows are fantastic as well.

Alternative medicine are more accepted now a days due to it’s promising results unlike pharmaceutical medicine, alternative medicine don’t give negative effect such as kidney and liver problems when it comes to long term use. As for my alternative medicine usage, I use medical marijuana. Different strain has a variety of uses and effect depending on your needs. check this one https://www.gyo.green/humboldt-seed-organisation-707-headband-hmb-707-f.html
